Citing the public relations of Sistan and Baluchestan Agricultural Jihad, Ardeshir Shahraki stated that Delgan, Nikshahr, Iranshahr, Chabahar and Mehrestan counties are the main tea cultivation areas in Sistan and Baluchestan, and said: More than 90% of the province’s sour tea in Delgan County it is produced.
He predicted that 800 kilograms of sour tea would be harvested from each hectare of Sistan and Baluchestan sour tea plantations: a total of 580 tons of sour tea would be harvested in this province.
The director of horticulture of Sistan and Baluchestan Agricultural Jihad said: this province has the first rank of sour tea production.
“Sour tea is rich in iron, copper, citric acid, anthocyanin, flavonoids and vitamin C and is effective in relieving many diseases and thus increasing life expectancy,” he said.
