Khadijeh Mirzaei, an associate professor in the Department of Community Nutrition, School of Nutrition and Dietetics, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, said: “People who have a sufficient percentage of body fat have less inflammatory conditions.”
He continued: “Older people and pregnant women are more at risk of getting the disease and due to staying at home, they suffer from bilateral malnutrition, that is, they both gain weight and suffer from vitamin D deficiency.”
Mirzaei said: “We recommend that snacks that do not have a high nutritional value be removed from the household basket and fresh vegetables and fruits be used instead.”
Associate Professor of Nutrition, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, emphasized: Consumption of liquids and hot drinks such as tea and a variety of beverages can strengthen the immune system against coronary heart disease.
He added: “The food we consume must be balanced with the needs of the body and in accordance with our working and physical conditions.”
